WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. – Thomas N. Langellotti, a resident of Wappingers Falls, died Saturday, July 9. He was 83.
He was the son of Dominick Langellotti and Concetta DiSanza of the Bronx. He had a successful career with IBM in the accounting department before retiring. His family would drive up to Dutchess County from the Bronx in the summer, which is how he came to know the area. At that time, family farms comprised most of the land. He worked at local farms and acquired a wonderful historical knowledge and love of the place.
He is survived by his wife Arlene (Galuppo) Langellotti of Poughkeepsie; daughter Mary Bernal of Hartsdale; and cousin Thomas DiSanza of Northport.
He was predeceased by his parents; and an older brother, Michael.
A wake and service will be conducted from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the Delehanty Funeral Home, 64 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Wappingers Falls.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Wildlife Federation or the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
